Which charger should you choose for the Skywell BE11?
The BE11 is the only model of this brand with us, and both versions from the 2024-2026 model years have 11 kW onboard and a Type 2 connector. We match a portable charger or a Q11 wallbox to them, or a P11 with a display instead of an app. The batteries are 68 and 81 kWh, so full AC power is genuinely useful here.
The two BE11 versions have different batteries - do you need a different charger?
No. Both versions have an identical 11 kW onboard charger, so the match is shared. The difference sits in capacity, 68 kWh against 81 kWh, which changes only the charging time by roughly an hour. The device stays the same in both cases.
How many hours does charging a Skywell BE11 with an 81 kWh battery take?
At the full 11 kW, from empty to full comes out at around 8 hours. The smaller 68 kWh version needs roughly 6 to 7 hours. Both fit into an overnight stop, provided the portable charger or wallbox really does deliver 11 kW and not less.
Skywell has one model with us - does that simplify the charger choice?
Very much. The brand is 1 model and 2 versions, both fully electric, both with 11 kW and a Type 2 connector. There are no plug-in hybrids here and no variants with a weaker onboard charger, so you do not need to check trim level. There is one answer for the whole range.
Is a portable charger enough for the BE11, or do you need a wallbox?
Both will deliver the same 11 kW, because the car sets the limit. You can take a portable Q11 on the road and plug it in at a relative's house; a wallbox stays permanently in the garage. With an 81 kWh battery the charging time will be exactly the same in both cases.
What changes if I connect a BE11 to a 7.4 kW charger?
The car will charge without obstacles, just for longer. Instead of around 8 hours, the 81 kWh pack will need roughly 11 hours, and the 68 kWh version around 9. A Q74 works as a stopgap, but at these capacities it is better to use the full 11 kW day to day.
