Which charger for the Elaris BEO?
The BEO has an 11 kW onboard charger and a Type 2 socket, so we match a Q11 - either as a portable charger or as a wallbox. It is the only Elaris model in our database, so the choice does not depend on the model year or trim level. A more powerful charger will speed up nothing here.
How many hours does the 81 kWh battery in the BEO take to charge?
At the full 11 kW from a three-phase installation, a complete charge from empty takes around 7 to 8 hours, so it fits into a single night. From a single-phase 3.7 kW socket the same cycle takes almost a full day, which is why a three-phase supply is worth having at this capacity.
Is a 22 kW charger worth it for an Elaris?
No. The BEO accepts at most 11 kW from alternating current and it will draw that much whether you connect a Q11 or a Q22. A more powerful charger will not shorten charging by even a minute, because the limit is the car's onboard rectifier, not the charging point.
The Elaris BEO has been built since 2023 - has the choice changed over that time?
No. All model years from 2023 to 2026 in our database have the same 11 kW onboard charger, the same 81 kWh battery and the same Type 2 socket. Whether you are buying the car new or used, the choice ends with a Q11, portable or wall-mounted.
Portable charger or wallbox with one car in the garage?
Both options deliver the same 11 kW, so the difference is practical, not technical. A wallbox stays on the wall and is more convenient day to day; a portable charger travels in your boot and plugs in away from home too. With an 81 kWh battery a sensible setup is a wallbox in the garage and a portable unit in the car as backup.
Do you need a Type 1 cable for the BEO?
No. The BEO has a Type 2 socket, the standard used at European alternating current charging points. Type 1 chargers such as the B35 concern older models with a different socket - there are no such cars in the Elaris range. For the BEO you take an ordinary Type 2 plug.
