Fiat 500e - a 7.4 or an 11 kW charger?
It depends on the specific version. The Fiat range holds 12 versions: seven with 11 kW onboard and five with 7.4 kW. A Q11 or P11 suits the first group, a Q74 or P72 the second. You will find the onboard power in the technical data for your car.
How do I check my Fiat's onboard power?
The surest source is the owner's manual or the car's technical data sheet, where the maximum alternating current charging power is given. Two values occur in the Fiat range: 7.4 kW and 11 kW. If in doubt, write to us with the model year and version and we will check it together.
Do the Grande Panda and the 600e use the same connector?
Yes. All 12 Fiat versions in our database, from the 500e through the 600e and Grande Panda to the E-Ulysse, use a Type 2 connector. The cable is therefore common to the whole range, and the only thing that distinguishes the choice is the onboard power: 7.4 or 11 kW.
How many hours does a Fiat with a 69 kWh battery take to charge?
The largest battery in the Fiat range holds 69 kWh. At 11 kW a full cycle takes around 6 to 7 hours; at 7.4 kW it grows to roughly 9 to 10 hours. The smallest pack in the range, 21.3 kWh, charges at 7.4 kW in around 3 hours.
Are there plug-in hybrids in the Fiat range?
In our database all 12 Fiat versions from the 2020 to 2026 model years are fully electric cars. There is therefore no distinction here between matching for a plug-in and for an electric car. The whole range splits purely by onboard power: 7.4 kW or 11 kW.
Does the large E-Ulysse need a more powerful charger than the 500e?
It is not the size of the car that decides the match, but the onboard power. A larger battery means a longer charging time, not a higher power draw. If both versions have 11 kW they get the same charger, and the E-Ulysse will simply take longer to fill.
