Collection: Q PRO series

The Q PRO is the Q series with one change that solves the most common problem with charging away from home: the power plug is interchangeable. Instead of buying one charger for a domestic socket and another for an industrial one, you swap the plug module in seconds and the same charger handles every socket you come across.

Two models are available: the Q11 PRO at 11 kW and the Q22 PRO at 22 kW. Both have a 7.5-metre Type 2 cable, an LCD display, app control over WiFi, OTA updates and an IP66-rated enclosure.

How the interchangeable plug system works

The charger's control unit stays the same; only the power end changes. The adapter slots into the socket on the housing and locks mechanically, with no tools and nothing to unscrew. The charger recognises the connected adapter and adjusts its maximum current to it, so there is no risk of drawing more from a domestic socket than it can handle.

Which adapters are available

Schuko: a standard 230 V domestic socket, charging up to 3.7 kW.

CEE 16 A: a three-phase industrial socket, charging up to 11 kW.

CEE 32 A: a higher-current three-phase industrial socket, charging up to 22 kW.

CEE 16 A and CEE 32 A in blue: camping sockets, useful at campsites and marinas.

Type 2 adapter for AC charging stations: lets you connect the Q11 PRO and Q22 PRO to a public AC charger with a socket.

5-metre extension: extends the reach from socket to car without resorting to an ordinary extension lead, which is not suitable for charging.

Who the PRO version makes sense for

The Q PRO is the choice for drivers who charge in different places: at home from an industrial socket, at a relative's house from a standard one, at a holiday home, at work or at a campsite. If you always charge from the same socket, paying extra for the PRO version changes nothing and a standard Q series model is the better choice.

The second scenario is future-proofing. If you are planning to move house or to upgrade from a single-phase to a three-phase supply, the PRO charger makes that change with you: you simply buy another adapter instead of a whole new device.

Q11 PRO or Q22 PRO

The on-board charger in your car decides. The Q11 PRO delivers 11 kW from a CEE 16 A socket, and that is enough for most electric cars, because 11 kW is precisely their AC limit. The Q22 PRO makes sense when your car accepts 22 kW AC and you have access to a CEE 32 A socket. In both cases the real charging power is the lowest of three figures: the socket, the adapter and the car.

The 7.5-metre cable

The PRO models have a longer cable than the standard Q series versions. That extra metre and a half matters where the socket is on the opposite side of the garage, or when you are charging somewhere unfamiliar and cannot park exactly where you would like. If even that is not enough, a dedicated 5-metre extension is available.

Everything else from the Q series

Apart from the interchangeable plug system, the Q PRO carries the full Q series specification: the Tuya app with a charging schedule and smart home integration, OTA updates, an LCD display with an energy meter, current adjustment in 1 A steps, type A 30 mA RCD and 6 mA RDC-DD protection, an aluminium IP66 enclosure and a two-year door-to-door warranty. A protective bag and wall mounts are included.

Najczęstsze pytania

How does the Q PRO differ from the standard Q series?
The only difference is the interchangeable supply plug and a longer 7.5 metre cable. The electronics, the app, the protections and the ingress rating are the same. The Q PRO pays off if you charge from different types of socket.
How long does changing an adapter on a Q PRO charger take?
A few seconds. The adapter plugs into a socket in the housing and locks mechanically, without tools. The charger recognises the attached end and adjusts its maximum charging current to it.
Which adapters fit the Q11 PRO and Q22 PRO?
Schuko for a household socket, CEE 16 A and CEE 32 A for industrial sockets, blue versions for campsite sockets, and a Type 2 adapter for public alternating current charging stations. A 5 metre extension is also available.
Can I charge at a campsite with a Q PRO charger?
Yes, using a blue CEE 16 A or CEE 32 A adapter. Remember to limit the current to the value permitted by the site operator, because campsite sockets often have a lower breaker than their nominal rating.
Will a Q PRO replace a wallbox at home?
For daily charging in one place a wallbox is more convenient: you do not have to unpack it and it has a permanent holder for the plug. The Q PRO works as a universal mobile solution and as the only charger for drivers who charge in many places.
