Ampere Point Wallbox Prime 22 kW – Wall-Mounted EV Charger with DLB, RFID and Safety Button | TÜV Rheinland | IP65

On the outside – a charger. On the inside – more than you expect.

Wallbox Prime is a wall-mounted AC charger for electric vehicles, designed for homes, residential communities and business fleets with up to 4 charging points. TÜV Rheinland certification, dual electrical protection and a 7.5-metre charging cable – all included at a price where competing products often offer less than half as much.

SAVE UP TO PLN 1,200 A YEAR*

Electricity under the G12 night tariff is, on average, 40% cheaper than under the standard G11 tariff. With scheduling in the Tuya app, Prime charges your car only during off-peak hours — automatically, with no action required on your part.

With typical annual mileage of 15,000 km and energy consumption of approximately 3,000 kWh, you could pay up to PLN 1,200 less for electricity based on 2026 rates. Your savings could be even higher.

*Applies to the Polish market and the 2026 G12 tariff. Actual savings depend on the energy provider and your charging habits.

📱 Tuya App + Non-Resettable Energy Meter

Monitor power consumption, voltage and charging history in real time. The meter records total energy usage from the very first start-up and cannot be reset, giving you a complete, uninterrupted overview of consumption. Set a charging schedule for cheaper off-peak hours in just 2 minutes.

🔄 OTA Updates via Wi-Fi

New features and software improvements are delivered wirelessly. No service visit and no hardware replacement required.

🪪 3 RFID Cards Included

Each card can be assigned to a separate user - an employee, resident or family member. Only authorised users can start a charging session. Ready to use straight out of the box.

🛡️ Dual Electrical Protection

RCD Type A 30 mA + RDC-DD 6 mA DC. The same protection standard found in chargers costing three times as much. Not an option. Not an extra — included as standard.

✅ TÜV Rheinland Certified

Independently verified quality — not just our own declaration.

🔴 Emergency Safety Button

A physical red button that instantly cuts off the power supply. One press — no menus, no confirmation, no waiting. Most wallboxes in this price range do not have one. We believe it should be standard.

FOR INSTALLERS

Prime comes with comprehensive technical documentation, installation instructions in three languages and technical support available Monday to Friday. Dedicated contact details for installers and business partners are available on our website.

Can I install the wallbox myself?

Yes. If you already have a suitable industrial CEE socket in your home or garage, simply secure Prime to a wall or mounting post and plug it in. For a hardwired connection directly to the electrical installation, we recommend using a qualified electrician.

Does Prime work without Wi-Fi?

Yes. Basic charging functions work offline. Wi-Fi is only required for the Tuya app, remote scheduling and OTA software updates.

Can I purchase additional RFID cards?

Yes. Additional RFID cards are available separately, although the 3 cards included in the box should be more than enough for most users. :)

Can I schedule charging without using the app?

Yes. The charging timer can be set directly using the buttons on the device, with no need to sign in to the app.

Frequently Asked Questions about Electric Vehicle Chargers

How many amps is 22 kW?

A 22 kW wallbox draws 32 A on each of three phases (3 × 32 A at 400 V).

This typically requires an electrical service capacity of at least 22-24 kW. Some homes may require a service upgrade before installation.

If you are unsure, contact our team for advice before purchasing.

Will my vehicle charge at 22 kW?

Only if its onboard charger supports 22 kW AC charging.

Most electric vehicles are limited to 11 kW AC charging. In these cases, a 22 kW wallbox will still charge the vehicle at a maximum of 11 kW.

A 22 kW wallbox is recommended if:

  • Your vehicle supports 22 kW AC charging
  • You plan to upgrade to a future EV that supports 22 kW
  • You regularly charge multiple vehicles

22 kW or 11 kW wallbox - which is best for home use?

For most homeowners, an 11 kW wallbox is the best choice. It is more affordable, typically does not require an electrical service upgrade, and can fully charge most EVs overnight.

Choose a 22 kW wallbox if your vehicle supports it and faster charging times are important, or if the charger will serve multiple vehicles.

Does a 22 kW wallbox require approval?

In most cases, a private home charging station does not require planning permission.

However, due to its higher power requirements, you should verify that your electrical service can support a 22 kW installation.

Installation must always be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Do I need special permission to install a charger at home?

In single-family homes, special permission is usually not required, but it's a good idea
to consult an electrician to ensure compliance with regulations. In multi-family
buildings, approval from the housing association or building manager may be
necessary.

Is it safe to charge an electric car in the rain?

Yes, all our chargers are certified with water and moisture protection (IP65, IP66 –

depending on the model).

Can I use an extension cord to charge my electric car?

It is not recommended to use extension cords for charging electric cars. Standard
extension cords may not handle high power loads, which could lead to overheating or
even fire. If you must use an extension cord, it should be specifically designed for
high power, meet appropriate quality standards, and be approved by the charger
manufacturer.
