A Polestar a mi összeállításunk legegyszerűbb esete: mind a hat modell 18 változata, az 1-estől az 5-ösig, pontosan 11 kW-ot fogad el Type 2 csatlakozón keresztül. Nincs itt kivétel gyengébb fedélzeti töltővel, így a javaslat mindig ugyanaz: Q11, 11 kW teljesítménnyel. A különbségek csak az akkumulátorokban láthatók, amelyek 30-tól 107 kWh-ig terjednek, de ez már csak a töltési időre van hatással, nem a mobil töltő vagy a falitöltő kiválasztására.

Why is the match the same for every Polestar?
Because the whole range has identical onboard power. All 18 versions in our database, from the Polestar 1 to the Polestar 5, accept 11 kW. That is why for each of these cars we match a portable Q11 or a P11. Model and year change nothing here.
Which charger for the Polestar 2?
The Polestar 2 belongs to the same 11 kW group as the rest of the range, so a Q11 or P11 is right. Its batteries fall between 67 and 79 kWh, which gives around 7-8 hours for a full charge. A 22 kW charger would not add a single kilowatt, because the car sets the limit.
The Polestar 3 and 4 are larger - do they need a more powerful wallbox?
No. A larger body and a larger battery do not change the onboard power, which across the whole Polestar range is 11 kW. The difference concerns time only: a 107 kWh pack at 11 kW is around 10-11 hours, while the smallest in the range, 30 kWh, takes just under 3 hours.
Is the Polestar 1 matched differently from the newer models?
No. The Polestar 1 with its 30 kWh pack also accepts 11 kW, like the whole range, so we match a Q11 or P11. Only the time differs: 30 kWh fills in just under 3 hours, while the largest packs in the range need around 10-11 hours. Year and model do not change the match.
Does a Q22 make sense for a Polestar?
It does not. None of the 18 variants in our database will draw more than 11 kW from an AC socket, so a Q22 would work at half its capability the whole time. It also requires a stronger breaker in the distribution board. For this brand the upper and correct choice is a Q11.
Portable charger or wallbox - which to choose?
Both solutions give the same 11 kW, because the limit sits in the car. You take a P11 with you and plug it in at family or at work; a Q11 stays in the garage and is more convenient for everyday charging. Plenty of people combine the two: a wallbox at home, a portable unit in the boot.
