Portable EV charger
Ampere Point EV 32A Q22 PRO

For electric cars and plug-in hybrids.

⚡ ALUMINIUM housing - better heat dissipation = longer life

⚡ IP66 rating - rivals stop at IP54 to IP65

⚡ Current adjustable in 1 A steps (6-32 A) - not just the usual 4 or 5 presets

⚡ POLISH BRAND, in business since 1994

⚡ Our own lab and service centre in Poland - for quality control and safety

Aluminium housing. Minimalist design. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Tuya support give you full control of the charger and slot it straight into your smart home.

Interchangeable adapter system - ready for anything

Q PRO series chargers come with an interchangeable adapter system: swap the plug in seconds and match the charger to whatever socket is available.

  • No more surprises on the road. At a hotel, at a friend's place or in a holiday home, it no longer matters what socket you find.
  • Temperature is monitored right in the plug, whichever adapter you use. Standard adapters can't do that.
  • Want more? Add extra adapters, such as the CEE 16A for 16 A industrial sockets, or a 5 m extension cable.
  • And charging losses are kept to a minimum.
Quick-Connect adapters: swap in 3 seconds, no tools or screws. Click, twist, lock

A handy mobile app

Use the Tuya app to set a detailed charging schedule and build smart home automations. For example, charge your car on sunny days with power from your solar panels.

The charger connects over Wi-Fi, so you can control it remotely from anywhere in the world.

Meanwhile the charger looks after itself: it picks up charging errors, puts them right automatically and reacts in real time if a reading strays outside safe limits, so charging stays stable and reliable.

New: OTA - smart updates, zero effort

A charger that improves with age. OTA (over-the-air) means it downloads the latest software automatically over Wi-Fi. No cables, no service visits, no effort.

New features and improvements reach your charger as soon as they're released, so it keeps getting better, safer and easier to use.

Plug in, charge and relax: your charger is always on the latest software, now and for years to come.

Fine-tune charging power to suit your needs ⚡

Set the charging current anywhere from 6 to 32 A (in 1 A steps) to match your wiring and whatever else your home is drawing. That precision lets you charge safely even on a limited supply.

You can also schedule charging to make the most of cheaper off-peak rates. The charger remembers the current you last set, so there's nothing to set up again when you plug in.

What do 1 A steps actually give you?

✔ Protection for your wiring

Set the exact current your circuit can handle. That matters most in older buildings and on supplies fused at 16-20 A.

✔ No nuisance tripping

When the induction hob, water heater or air conditioning is running, turn charging down by 1-2 A for a while instead of stopping altogether.

✔ Made to work with solar panels ☀️

Match charging power to what your panels are producing and use more of your own electricity instead of exporting it to the grid.

✔ Lower energy costs

Tune charging power to suit dynamic or off-peak tariffs and cut your electricity bill.

Energy meter - see exactly what you use

Keep close track of how much energy your vehicle takes. The charger shows both the total energy used (in kWh) and the energy used in your last charging session.

That makes it easy to work out what charging costs you, trim your electricity use and save more.

Pick the language that suits you. The menu comes in several languages, so setup is quick and painless wherever you use the charger.

LCD display - everything at a glance

The 2.4-inch LCD display keeps the key charging figures in view at all times.

Check charging time, current (adjustable with a button on the unit), voltage, temperature and overall charging progress, all in one place.

On screen you'll find:

  1. Wi-Fi connection status
  2. Delayed start
  3. Set current (A)
  4. Input voltage (V)
  5. Actual current (A)
  6. Actual charging power (kW)
  7. Energy used (kWh)
  8. Charger temperature
  9. Charging time limit
  10. Earth connection status

Efficient, easy charging

The fixed Type 2 cable and 22 kW of charging power (three-phase, 230 V / 32 A per phase) give you fast, reliable charging.

Just plug in and charge, wherever you are.

Safety - automatic fault protection

Built-in smart monitoring watches every charge and clears faults automatically. If any reading goes outside safe limits, it reacts at once to keep charging stable and to protect you and your vehicle.

With an IP66 rating, the charger is dust-tight and water-resistant, so it works reliably in any weather.

Built-in protection:

✔ Overload protection

✔ Overvoltage and undervoltage protection

✔ Short-circuit protection

✔ Residual current protection

✔ Earth connection monitoring

✔ Surge protection

✔ Over-temperature protection

Charge without a second thought. Your safety comes first.

A very good product

Excellent communication with the seller/manufacturer. A very good product. I am currently using it for single-phase charging, but I also view it as a future-proof device. The interchangeable connectors are great.

A very well made product and with the adapters it offers almost all options one needs

A very well made product and with the adapters it offers almost all options one needs. App is okay and has the features needed. What would be an improvement is a case or a rubber "condom" for the display unit itself. It is built very sturdy, but it scratches over time. It would be nice if there were a rubber cover or something you can put it in.

Frequently asked questions about EV chargers

Which charger should I choose for my electric car or plug-in hybrid?

It depends on your vehicle's specification: its maximum AC charging power, whether it charges on one phase or three, and the connector type (usually Type 2 in Europe). A single-phase vehicle will use only one phase of a three-phase charger. Before you buy, check your car's maximum AC charging power or get in touch. We're happy to help you choose.

Can I charge an electric car from a standard household socket?

Yes, within limits. A standard 230 V household socket tops out at 16 A, or about 3.7 kW. Some vehicles, plug-in hybrids especially, can't charge any faster anyway.

How long does it take to charge an electric car?

Charging time depends on battery capacity, charger power and whether you're charging on AC or DC. As a rough guide, a car with a 50 kWh battery on an 11 kW charger takes about 4.5 hours (50 ÷ 11). That's an estimate: the efficiency of the car's onboard charger, charging losses, battery condition and ambient temperature all make a difference.

Is charging at home cheaper than using public chargers?

Yes, charging at home usually costs less. In Poland, electricity costs anywhere from PLN 0 (with solar panels, for example) to PLN 1 per kWh, which works out at around PLN 0-15 per 100 km. Public charging can cost PLN 1.50 to PLN 3.50 per kWh, sometimes more, depending on the operator and the type of charging.

Do I need permission to install a charger at home?

In a house, usually not, but it's worth asking an electrician to confirm the installation meets the regulations. In an apartment block you may need consent from the residents' association or the building manager.

Is it safe to charge an electric car in the rain?

Yes. All our chargers are certified water-resistant (IP65 or IP66, depending on the model).

Can I use an extension lead to charge my electric car?

We don't recommend using ordinary extension leads to charge electric cars. A standard extension lead may not be rated for high loads, which can cause overheating or even a fire. If you have to use one, make sure it's designed for high loads, meets the relevant standards and is approved for use with your charger.
