Why do we match the same charger to every Cadillac?
All four versions in our database - LYRIQ, LYRIQ-V, OPTIQ and VISTIQ - have a 22 kW onboard charger. The choice is therefore identical across the range: a Q22, either portable or as a wallbox. There are no weaker or stronger variants here, so you do not need to check the model year or trim level.
How long does a full charge of a Cadillac LYRIQ from a 22 kW wallbox take?
Batteries in the Cadillac range run from 75 to 102 kWh. At the full 22 kW, charging from zero to one hundred percent takes roughly 4 to 5 hours. There is one condition: a three-phase 3x32 A supply, because without it the charger drops to 11 kW and the time doubles.
Is an 11 kW charger enough for a Cadillac VISTIQ?
It is enough, but you will not use the car's full capability. Every Cadillac in our database accepts 22 kW from alternating current, so on an 11 kW charger the largest battery in the range, 102 kWh, needs around 9 hours instead of around 5. With a domestic 3x16 A supply a Q11 will comfortably charge the car overnight.
What connector do Cadillacs sold in Europe use?
All four versions from 2024-2026 in our database have the European Type 2 socket. You do not need adapters or a Type 1 cable - a Q22 with a Type 2 plug fits with no extras. The other models in our range use the same connector, so the cable stays standard.
Does a Q22 make sense if I only have an ordinary socket in the garage?
No. The Q22 requires a three-phase installation - from an ordinary 230 V socket it will draw a few kilowatts at most, and a 75 kWh battery would charge for more than a day. If you are not planning a three-phase supply, a Q37 or P35 matched to single-phase power makes more sense.
How does the choice for the OPTIQ differ from the LYRIQ-V?
It does not. Both versions have the same 22 kW onboard charger and the same Type 2 socket, so they get exactly the same match: a 22 kW Q22. The differences between them concern performance and battery capacity, not how quickly the car accepts alternating current.
