The Citroen range holds 2 versions with a Type 1 connector and those are the only cars of this brand for which we match the B35, a 3.7 kW portable charger with a Type 1 plug. The other 29 versions use Type 2. A Type 2 plug physically will not enter a Type 1 socket, so here the connector matters, not the power.

The highest capacity we record for this brand is 96.9 kWh. At 11 kW a full charge from empty takes roughly 9 to 10 hours; at 7.4 kW it stretches to 13 or 14 hours. That is why with large packs it is worth checking whether the car really does accept 11 kW.

This range holds 8 plug-in hybrid versions, and their batteries start at 11.3 kWh, nearly nine times less than the largest electric pack. Such a battery fills in around 2 hours even with a portable charger or a 7.4 kW wallbox, so there is no reason to reach for a Q11 in reserve.

Only if that particular version really does have 11 kW onboard. If the car tops out at 7.4 kW, as 14 versions in the range do, a Q11 will deliver exactly the same as a Q74. Neither a portable charger nor a wallbox can ever force a car to take more power than the manufacturer allowed.
