Which charger do we match to the XPENG G6?
The G6 has an 11 kW onboard charger, identical to the other XPENG versions in our listing. So we match a portable charger or an 11 kW Q11 wallbox with a Type 2 connector. Higher device power will not translate into shorter charging, because the car itself sets the limit.
XPENG batteries run from 60 to 106 kWh - does a larger one need a more powerful charger?
No. All 13 XPENG versions, from the G6 to the X9, accept 11 kW regardless of battery capacity. A larger battery only means longer charging: 60 kWh is around 6 hours, 106 kWh around 9 to 10 hours. In both cases we match the same device, the Q11.
Are the XPENG P7 and P7+ matched differently?
No. The P7 and P7+ fall within the same 13 XPENG versions from the 2023-2026 model years, in which the onboard power is 11 kW. The plus suffix in the name does not change the alternating current charging parameters. For both we match an 11 kW Q11, or a P11 if you prefer a display to an app.
Will any XPENG accept 22 kW from alternating current?
None in our listing. All 13 versions, including the G9 and X9, have 11 kW of onboard power. A 22 kW Q22 will give exactly the same charging time with an XPENG as a Q11, so there is no reason to reach higher.
Is a standard Type 2 cable enough for an XPENG?
Yes. All 13 XPENG versions from 2023-2026 have a Type 2 connector, so the standard cable of a portable charger or wallbox fits without adapters. Type 1 concerns older designs outside this range and will not be needed with an XPENG.
Does XPENG offer plug-in hybrids for which the match would differ?
Not in our listing. All 13 versions of five XPENG models are fully electric cars, with batteries from 60 to 106 kWh. There are no versions here with a small battery and 3.3 or 6.6 kW, where we would drop to a Q37 or Q74.
