Which charger should you choose for the Changan Deepal S07?
The Deepal S07 has an 11 kW onboard charger, so we match 11 kW equipment: the Q11, or the P11 if you prefer a display to app control. All three Changan versions in our database have the same power, so the choice is unambiguous and does not depend on which battery you pick.
Deepal S05 and Deepal S07 - do they charge the same way?
Yes, on alternating current they are identical: both accept 11 kW. The difference lies in the battery, with capacities in the range running from 68 to 78 kWh, which affects charging time rather than the choice between a portable charger and a wallbox.
How many hours does it take to charge a Changan to full?
At 11 kW a 68 kWh battery takes around 7 hours, and 78 kWh around 8 hours. One night parked is enough to start the day with a full battery. Charging at lower power will extend that time in proportion to the difference.
Is a 7.4 kW charger enough for a Changan overnight?
It will be tight. A 78 kWh battery at 7.4 kW takes around 11 hours, which is more than a typical overnight stop. If you have a three-phase supply, it is better to go straight to 11 kW - a Q11 or P11 - and close the charge within 8 hours.
Does a bigger battery in a Changan require a more powerful charger?
No. The choice is decided by the car's onboard power, and across the whole range that is 11 kW regardless of capacity. A 78 kWh battery charges at the same power as a 68 kWh one, simply for longer. Reaching for 22 kW achieves nothing.
