Which charger for the Maxus MIFA 9?
The MIFA 9 has an 11 kW onboard charger and a Type 2 connector, so we match a Q11, or a P11 if you prefer a display to an app. It is the only Maxus model in our database, model years 2023 to 2026, with an 84 kWh battery. The choice is simple here, because there is only one variant.
How long does charging 84 kWh in a MIFA 9 take?
At 11 kW a full cycle from close to empty takes around 8 hours, so it fits into one night. On a 7.4 kW unit that is already roughly 11 to 12 hours. That is why with a battery like this we do not go below 11 kW.
Is a 3.7 kW charger enough for the MIFA 9?
Only as an emergency. An 84 kWh battery at 3.7 kW would charge for over 22 hours, so one night is definitely not enough. Treat the Q37 as a solution for trips, when no other socket is available. For everyday use we match 11 kW.
Will a Q22 speed up charging a Maxus?
No. The MIFA 9 onboard charger accepts a maximum of 11 kW and that sets the pace. Connecting a 22 kW unit will not change the charging time by even a quarter of an hour, because the car will draw its 11 kW anyway. The sensible choice is a Q11 or P11.
What connector does the Maxus MIFA 9 have?
Type 2, the European alternating current standard. There is no need to reach for the B35 charger intended for Type 1 sockets. Any 11 kW Type 2 cable from our range plugs in directly, with no adapters.
Q11 or P11 for Maxus's only model?
Both charge at the same speed, because the 11 kW limit is set by the car itself. You operate the Q11 from an app on your phone and can set the charging current there; the P11 has a display and simpler operation without a phone. The MIFA 9 with its 84 kWh battery uses the full 11 kW in both cases.
