Which charger for the Renault Zoe?
All 9 Zoe versions in our database, from the 2013 Q210 to the ZE50 R135, have 22 kW onboard. So for the Zoe we match a Q22, provided you have a three-phase supply at home with adequate capacity. On a single phase you are realistically left with 7.4 kW and then a Q74 or P72 makes more sense.
What should you match to the Renault Rafale plug-in hybrid?
The Rafale 4x4 Plug-In Hybrid 300 from 2024-2026 has 7.4 kW onboard, so we match a Q74 or a portable P72. It is the exception among Renault hybrids, because the other three plug-ins, the Captur and two Megane models, have 3.6 kW and there a Q37 or P35 is enough. A more powerful device changes nothing in any of these cars.
How long does charging an 87 kWh Renault battery from a 22 kW wallbox take?
The largest Renault battery in our database holds 87 kWh. At 22 kW a full cycle from a low state is around 4 to 5 hours, and at 11 kW around 8 to 9 hours. The smallest battery in the range holds 9.8 kWh and at 3.6 kW will charge in just under 3 hours.
The Renault range has five different onboard powers. How do you hit the right one?
Across the 28 Renault versions from 2013-2026 there are as many as five onboard powers: 3.6 kW, 6.6 kW, 7.4 kW, 11 kW and 22 kW. The model name settles nothing here, because the Megane alone appears with us in several variants. Check the AC power in the owner's manual or write to us with the model year.
Does the same charger fit the Renault Kangoo and Twingo as the Megane?
The connector yes, the power not necessarily. All 28 Renault versions in our database have Type 2, so mechanically everything fits together. The differences begin with onboard power: three versions in the range have 3.6 kW and there a Q37 is enough, while fifteen accept 22 kW and those will use a Q22.
