Which charger for the Subaru Solterra?
It depends on the version. The Solterra AWD from 2022-2026 has 6.6 kW onboard and there we match a Q74 or a portable P72 rated at 7.4 kW. Only the Solterra AWD 73.1 kWh from the 2026 model year accepts 22 kW, and for that a Q22 makes sense, with a three-phase supply at home. A more powerful device will not speed up the older Solterra.
How long does charging a Subaru with a 72 kWh battery take?
The largest Subaru battery in our database holds 72 kWh. At the full 22 kW from a Q22, a complete cycle from a low state is around 4 hours. At 11 kW it stretches to 7 to 8 hours, and at single-phase 7.4 kW to around 11 hours.
Is a Q22 worth buying if I only have one phase at home?
