Alfa Romeo Junior Elettrica and Tonale - does the same charger fit both?

No. The Junior Elettrica, being fully electric, takes 11 kW and we match it with an 11 kW Q11. The Tonale is a plug-in hybrid capped at 7.4 kW, so the right equipment there is the Q74. The range holds only 3 versions and they split exactly that way: two at 11 kW, one at 7.4 kW.

Which charger should you choose for the Alfa Romeo Junior Elettrica?

The Junior Elettrica charges at 11 kW through a Type 2 connector, so the car's full capability is used by an 11 kW Q11, or a P11 if you prefer a display to an app. The largest battery in the range holds 50.8 kWh, which at 11 kW means roughly 5 hours from empty to full. A more powerful device changes nothing here.

Why is 7.4 kW enough for the Alfa Romeo Tonale hybrid?

Because that is what its onboard charger accepts. Batteries in this range start at 12 kWh, and at 7.4 kW we fill that capacity in around 2 hours. A portable charger or a Q74 wallbox is entirely sufficient here, and a Q11 will not shorten charging by even a minute.

How long does it take to charge the largest battery in the Alfa Romeo range?

The largest battery we record for this brand holds 50.8 kWh. At the onboard 11 kW a full charge from empty takes around 5 hours, so it fits comfortably into an overnight stop. At 7.4 kW the same pack would need 7 to 8 hours.

Do all the Alfa Romeos in our listing use a Type 2 connector?

Yes. All 3 versions from the 2023-2026 model years, both the Junior Elettrica and the Tonale, use Type 2. There is no car here with a Type 1 connector, so you do not need a B35 charger. The choice comes down purely to power: 7.4 or 11 kW.

Will the Junior Elettrica charge from a single-phase 3.7 kW socket?

It will, just more slowly. At 3.7 kW a 50.8 kWh battery needs roughly 14 hours instead of 5. A 3.7 kW Q37 or P35 works for short commutes, but since the car accepts 11 kW, with a three-phase supply we would choose the Q11 or P11.
