Which charger for the Lotus Eletre?
The Eletre has 22 kW onboard, as do all 10 Lotus versions in our database. It is one of the few brands where a Q22 is the basic match rather than surplus. The condition is a three-phase supply at home with sufficient capacity, otherwise the car will not use its onboard charger.
Why is the choice identical for the Eletre and the Emeya?
Because the whole Lotus range has one onboard power. All 10 versions from 2023-2026 accept 22 kW, so a Q22 fits regardless of model, year and battery capacity. That is rare, because in most brands you have to check version by version before we can point to the right device.
What if I only have a single-phase installation at home?
Then the Lotus will charge more slowly, because from one phase you will draw a maximum of 7.4 kW instead of 22 kW. The smallest battery in this range holds 98.9 kWh, so a full cycle stretches from around 5 hours to over 13. With a single phase, choose a Q74 or a portable P72.
Are there plug-in hybrids in the Lotus range?
No. All 10 Lotus versions in our database are fully electric cars, with no plug-in variants. That is why there is none of the split typical of other brands between a hybrid's weak onboard charger and an electric car's strong one. One choice, the Q22, covers the entire line-up.
Is an 11 kW charger enough for a Lotus?
For travel and as a backup yes, but it will not use the 22 kW onboard. The P11 and Q11 deliver a maximum of 11 kW, half of what the car would accept. With batteries from 98.9 to 109 kWh, a 22 kW Q22 works better at home, and you can keep the weaker charger in the boot as a reserve.
