It depends on the model year, because the Outlander PHEV comes with two different sockets. Versions from 2015-2022 have a Type 1 socket and accept 3.7 kW - only the B35 model fits them, because it is the only Type 1 charger in our range. Versions from 2025-2026 already have Type 2 and 3.6 kW, so we match a Q37 or a P35 if you prefer a display to an app. Check the socket in your car before buying: Type 1 and Type 2 plugs are not interchangeable. In both cases a more powerful device will not shorten charging, because the car's onboard charger sets the limit.

It is the only Mitsubishi version in our database with a Type 1 connector; the other 4 have Type 2. For Type 1 you need the 3.7 kW B35 charger, because a Type 2 plug physically will not enter this car's socket. We do not use adapters between the standards.

Watch out for the older models: the i-MiEV and the Outlander PHEV from 2015-2022 have a Type 1 socket and require the B35. The Mitsubishi range in the database stretches from 2011 to 2026.

The smallest battery in the Mitsubishi range holds 9.8 kWh. At 3.7 kW a full cycle is around 3 hours, meaning one evening. The largest battery in the database holds 87 kWh and at 11 kW needs around 8 to 9 hours, so we charge it overnight.

Only for the one version in our database that genuinely has 11 kW onboard. The other 4 Mitsubishi versions top out at 3.7 kW and there a Q11 gives nothing over a Q37. No version in this range accepts 22 kW, so a Q22 is out of the question entirely.
